The Structure & Interaction Resource

The Structue & Interaction resource in the Human Protein Atlas focuses on various aspects of human proteins, including protein three-dimensional structures, protein isoforms, protein-protein interactions and metabolic interactions and pathways. The data is based on external sources complemented with "in-house" analysis. Here you can explore:

  • predicted 3D structures for most human genes and related isoforms
  • sequence variants and different other features highlighted in the structures
  • protein-protein interaction networks for most genes
  • features such as subcellular location and expression specificity displayed on the interaction networks
  • pathways/subsystems of metabolic genes

Structure

Explore the 3D protein structures for 19904 genes and most of their corresponding splice variants based on in-house generated predictions using AlphaFold source code.

Interaction

Explore protein-protein interaction networks and integrated data based on four different interaction databases for in total 15038 genes.

Metabolic

Explore the metabolic pathways and reactions for 2912 metabolic genes based on a genome-scale metabolic model from the MetabolicAtlas.
