LUZP2 is a brain- and spinal cord-enriched protein. it is highly abundant throughout the mouse brain.
Accordingly, moderate-strong intensity neuronal cytoplasmic somatic immunostaining and diffuse-synaptic immunustaining pattern are noticed in many brain regions like in the septum, caudate putamen and globus pallidus, BNST, thalamus, hippocampus CA2-3, and cerebellar Purkinje-cells. In other forebrain regions and in the vast majority of the brainstem, these immunostaining patterns are less pronounced (weak).
