Broad and mainly nuclear staining in subsets of neurons in all main brain regions but with notable intensity differences. E.g. in neocortex, deeper layers (i.e. layers IV-VI) exhibit strong nuclear staining but staining in upper layers is occasional or missing. In hippocampus, CA2 neurons exhibit strong nuclear staining. Purkinje cells in cerebellum and multiple medullar/pontine nuclei exhibit primarily nuclei but also cytoplasmatic staining. Purkine cell dendrites and apical dendrites in cornu ammonis of hippocampus are also immunorective. Choroid plexus cells show strong nuclear immunorectivity.
