General strong-moderate intensity diffuse-synaptic immunostaining is noticed throughout the bulbus, forebrain and midbrain. Less intense in the caudate putamen, medial septum (weak) and very weak in the globus pallidus and in multiple thalamic nuclei.
In the medulla, the diffuse-synaptic staining is restricted to certain nuclei/areas, like the parabrachial-locus coeruleus region around the fourth ventricle, n. tractus solitarii and dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus.
In the cerebellum, the moderate intensity diffuse-synaptic staining is restricted to the molecular layer.
