Multiple subsets of neurons show distinct somato-dendritic immunoreactivity throughout the brain. These include: subsets of granular- and glomerular layer neurons in the olfactory bulb, layer IV (and, less intensely, layer II and VI neurons) in the neocortex, caudate putamen, lateral septum and BNST neurons, multiple but distinct thalamic nuclei, amygdala, subsets of hypothalamic neurons, gyrus dentate polymorph layer neurons, a subset of cornu ammonis neurons in the hippocampus, multiple distinct brainstem nuclei and regions (like parabrachial region nuclei, colliculus superior, external parts of the medial geniculate nucleus, PAG, nucleus tractus solitariii etc).
Positive cells and structuresi
Manually selected location of the protein positivity, observed by immunofluorescence staining in mouse brain.
Soma and dendrite in neurons.
Neurons in layer 4 of the cortex are distinctly stained.
